Boise State Sweeps Sunday Quad Behind Season-High Score

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Boise State gymnastics earned a quad meet sweep on Sunday, posting a season-high 196.275 to defeat Arizona State (195.950), San Jose State (195.925) and Sacramento State (193.750). Fifth year Blake Pascal was the floor co-champion, matching her career-high score of 9.900. Junior Julia Krzywanski earned a share of the vault crown, tallying a career-high 9.900 for her first-career title. The Broncos recorded season-best event scores on floor (49.275) and vault (49.150).
 
The Broncos opened the meet with a 49.000 on bars, their second-best score of the season. Junior Mahleea Werline led the way with a 9.850 for the second-straight meet, finishing third. Junior Carly Buell and freshman Miraya Nero both added a 9.800, with Nero's marking a career-best.
 
Boise State followed with a 48.850 on beam, also the team's second-highest score of the year. Senior Sydney Kho and junior Kristina Shchennikova tied for the team lead at 9.825, with both earning their second-best scores of the season to tie for second. Freshman Sydnie Whipple added a 9.750 while senior Brantley Lucas registered a career-high 9.725.
 
The Broncos dominated the floor rotation, posting a season-high 49.275, their highest rotation score in any event this season. Pascal matched her career-high of 9.900 to tie for first, while senior Anna Ferguson notched a career-best 9.875. Sophomore Delaney Reeves equaled her career-high mark of 9.850, with Shchennikova earning a career-high 9.825. Nero rounded out the rotation with a 9.825, her second-best score of the season.
 
Boise State closed the meet with another season-best score, tallying a 49.150 on vault. Krzywanski secured co-champion honors with a career-high 9.900, while sophomores Noelle Ball (9.850) and Bridget Kemp (9.825) each tallied a career-high. Kho added a 9.800, her second-best score of the season.
