Broncos Finish Tied for Seventh in Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. — Collectively shooting an 858 (+18), Boise State men's golf concluded the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in a seventh-place tie with Navy.
Featuring a 15-team field, the Broncos' seventh-place finish equates to a 7-6-1 tournament record. Through seven events in the 2025-26 campaign, Boise State have amassed a 66-37-3 cumulative mark.
Leading the way for the Broncos was Cole Rueck, who carded a 208 (-2) across the three rounds. In the final 18 on Tuesday, Rueck fired a 67, tying for the lowest score among all participants.
Concluding the intercollegiate in a three-way tie for eighth, Rueck garnered his sixth top-10 finish of the season. For his career, Rueck has placed in the top 10 on 16 occasions, giving him sole possession of second place for the most such finishes in program history.
Collecting his second-consecutive top-25 finish, Chase Gorder wrapped the two-day event tied for 21st. In the inaugural spring tournament, Gorder shot a 215 and ended T-24th.
Building off the performance, Gorder shot under 1-under par in each of the first two rounds on Day 1 and concluded the opening 36 holes tied for sixth. He registered a 75 on Day 2, but still earned top-25 recognition for his efforts.
Boise State is back in action on March 23-24. The team will participate in the Oregon Duck Invitational which will be held at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
