Broncos’ Win Streak Ends Against Rebels

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State women's tennis team fell 4-3 to UNLV on Sunday afternoon at the Appleton Tennis Center.

In a rematch of the 2025 Mountain West Tournament championship, the Broncos (13-3) and Rebels (13-2), the only unbeaten teams in Mountain West play entering the match, battled early. UNLV opened the match by securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and two.

Boise State responded in singles play, as Allison Isaacs and Paula Schaefer earned victories on courts four and five to take a 2-1 lead. A Rebel win at No. 1 singles evened the match at 2-2 before Carla Grignac put the Broncos back in front with a three-set victory over Sofiia Sokolvak, 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 (5).

UNLV answered with a win on court three and clinched the match with a victory on court two to secure the 4-3 decision.
