WHAT'S NEXT: The Boise State women's tennis team will close out the 2026 regular season with a trip to Logan, Utah, to face Utah State on April 17 at 11 a.m. MT.

EYES ON THE PRIZE: Boise State enters the weekend in a three-way tie with San Diego State and UNLV for first place in the Mountain West standings. With a win, the Broncos would clinch at least a share of the regular-season title, the first in program history.

SCOUTING THE AGGIES: Utah State enters Friday in sixth place in the MW with an 11-9 overall record. The Aggies have won four of their last five matches. Boise State leads the all-time series 38-4 and has won six straight.

NATIONALLY RANKED: The Broncos are ranked No. 60 in the latest ITA rankings, and No. 45 in the latest UTR Sports collegiate team rankings.

HOW SWEEP IT IS: Boise State has swept 11 opponents this season, including six against MW opponents, the most since joining the conference in 2011-12.

ROAD WARRIORS: The Broncos have won eight straight road matches and are 8-1 on the road this season.

ONE OF ONE: Head coach Beck Roghaar (2011-present) became the program's all-time winningest coach with his 182nd career victory, surpassing Mark Tichenor (1999-2010) in the win against Gonzaga on Feb. 28. He enters the weekend with 193.

MW WEEKLY AWARDS: Zdena Safarova earned MW Player of the Week honors three times this season (March 18, March 25 and April 15). She now has seven career awards, the most among active players in the conference, and three this season, also the most in the conference. Carla Grignac earned MW Player and Freshman of the Week honors on Jan. 28 after a win at No. 6 singles against nationally ranked Washington, becoming the third player in MW history and second in program history to earn both honors in the same week. She added her second Freshman of the Week honor on April 15 after three wins across No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

DEFENDING MW CHAMPS: The Broncos claimed their first conference tournament championship since 2010 by winning the 2025 MW Tournament. Boise State defeated Fresno State, San Diego State and UNLV en route to the MW title.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Roghaar, in his 16th season at the helm, was named MW and ITA Mountain Region Coach of the Year for the 2024-25 season. The former marked his third conference Coach of the Year honor, while the latter was the first regional recognition of his career, making him just the second coach in program history to receive the award.

IN THE RECORD BOOK: Safarova holds the fourth-most career No. 1 singles wins (33). Gayleen McManus holds the program record with 50 wins at the top singles spot from 1994-98.

ALL-MW RETURNERS: In 2025, Safarova earned All-MW honors in singles and doubles and was named MW Tournament MVP and MW All-Tournament No. 1 Singles. Paula Schaefer earned All-Tournament No. 4 Singles honors, while Masa Viriant was named All-Tournament No. 6 Singles.
