Three Broncos Selected to CSC Academic All-District Team

BOISE, Idaho – Three Boise State men's tennis student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators 2025-26 Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Stewart Aronson, Taiyo Kurata and Avery Tallakson each earned the honor.

The award recognizes top student-athletes across the country for excellence both on the court and in the classroom. Kurata received the distinction for the second time in his career, while Aronson and Tallakson earned their first selections.

Boise State's three honorees tie a program record for most Academic All-District selections in a single season.

Aronson, a political science major with a 3.73 cumulative GPA, recorded 43 combined singles and doubles wins this season. His 24 singles victories tied for the team lead alongside Kurata and Lukas Velik. Primarily competing at the No. 2 position, the junior earned Mountain West All-Conference honors in singles and secured a ranked win over No. 99 Sebastian Sec of Princeton.

Kurata, a marketing major with a 3.69 GPA, earned Mountain West All-Tournament honors at No. 6 singles after posting a perfect 3-0 record at the conference championship. His 24 singles wins tied for the team-high this season. On the doubles side, he and partner Julius Seifert cemented themselves with the third-highest career winning percentage at No. 2 Doubles with 73.7%.

Tallakson, a business administration major with a 3.58 GPA, led the team with 47 combined wins in singles and doubles. The junior primarily competed at the No. 1 position in both lineups, recording eight singles wins and 16 doubles victories. He earned Mountain West All-Conference honors in both singles and doubles, highlighted by two ranked wins, including a victory over No. 27 Luca Bluett and John Kim of Santa Clara.
