Kate Penberthy Named All-Mountain West

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In 25 Mountain West games this season, Kate Penberthy batted .438. Wednesday, she was rewarded for her performance with a spot on the 2026 All-Mountain West First Team.
 
A native of Valencia, California, Penberthy began the year playing first base before moving across the diamond to third base for the second half of conference play.
 
She hit safely in her final-12 Mountain West games, including eight multi-hit efforts. During that span, she collected six doubles, six home runs and 15 RBI while batting .585.
 
Also earning all-conference accolades for the Broncos were senior Hollie Farmer and sophomore Mya Flindt, who both received honorable mention.
 
Farmer posted a .313 batting average and .421 on-base percentage while splitting time between third base and shortstop.
 
Primarily the offensive player for the Broncos, Flindt belted seven home runs and drove in 14 runs while earning 16 walks. She slugged .679 and had an OPS of 1.136.
