BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Indoor Track & Field has accepted an invitation to join the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) for the indoor season, the conference announced Thursday. The program will begin competing in the league for the 2026-27 indoor track season.

The MPSF Indoor Track & Field Championship will be held in Spokane, Washington on February 26-27. Boise State was originally part of the MPSF for the 1997 indoor season. The Broncos competed in the Mountain West the last 15 years, and prior to that eight years in the WAC.

The Broncos' cross country and outdoor track & field teams will still compete in the newly built Pac-12. Boise State will host the 2026 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Oct. 30.

"We're extremely grateful for the MPSF and providing a home for our indoor track and field teams," said Director of Athletics Jeramiah Dickey. "Coach McCurry, our staff and our student-athletes have continued to raise the bar for all of our track and field program, but with last year's successes during the indoor season, including two All-American performances, we know we're on the right path for even more. You come to Boise State to compete for championships, and we look forward to competing for MPSF titles in indoor track and field! What's Next!"

Boise State, alongside Colorado State, Sacramento State, Utah State and Utah Valley will enter the conference for both men's and women's divisions. Additionally, San Diego State and UC Santa Barbara will be added on the women's side.

The joining schools above will compete against the incumbent members of Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Long Beach State, Oregon State, Pacific, Pepperdine, Portland, San Francisco, Saint Mary's, UC Irvine, UC Riverside and Washington State.

"It is important to us to be able to compete for a team championship in each season, and this gives us that opportunity," said head coach Pat McCurry. "The MPSF has a storied history in track & field and we look forward to capping our indoor season with an exciting team meet."

The Broncos will look to continue the success they've found in the indoor season in McCurry's first two seasons at the helm. Last season, Kaiya Robertson became the third Bronco to compete in the mile at the NCAA Indoor Championships and led the team to a fourth-place finish, the highest since 2022. On the men's side, Landon Helms won back-to-back MW titles in the heptathlon and Raekwon Weatherspoon won the long jump title, the program's first since 2011.

Boise State's full indoor track & field schedule will be announced at a later date.
