ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Boise State volleyball suffered a 3-0 loss (19-25, 22-25, 18-25) against Middle Tennessee to close out the Bulldog Invitational in Asheville, N.C.

The Broncos (1-2) kept it tight in the first set against the Blue Raiders (2-0) and held their lead until Middle Tennessee tied the match at 11-11. The Blue Raiders took the lead at 12-11 and it was a back-and-forth set until Middle Tennessee built a six-point advantage to win the opening set.

In the second set, Boise State fell behind quickly when Middle Tennessee opened up a commanding 14-6 lead. The Broncos went on a 12-4 run to tie the match at 18. After the teams traded points, the Blue Raiders scored the next three to win set two.

Boise State trailed behind Middle Tennessee for a majority of set three, until the Blue Raiders built a 18-9 lead. The Broncos couldn't bridge the gap, and Middle Tennessee secured the sweep 25-18.

Sydney Dreves had a team-high seven kills.
Kendall Hastings recorded a team-high in blocks for her third match in a row (5).
Tehya Maeva and Jenelle Legates led the team with 10 assists.
Melia Barlow added a team-high of three service aces for the second time this season.
