BOISE, Idaho – Boise State defeated Southern Utah, 2-0, Thursday night to extend its home unbeaten streak to 12-consecutive matches, setting a new program record.

The Broncos (7-1-1) outshot the Thunderbirds (3-5-1) 26-4 to collect their fifth-straight win.

Boise State came out firing, scoring less than two minutes after kickoff. Campbell Wilson's header was initially stopped by the Southern Utah goalkeeper, but the rebound fell to Sophie Schmautz, who finished the opportunity to give the Broncos an early 1-0 lead.

The Broncos added another goal in the 44th minute. Sophia Avalos found Tambree Bell, who sent the ball to the back of the net for the first career points for both players.

Boise State continued to control the match in the second half, recording 12 shots. Ava de Leest recorded her fifth shutout of her season to secure the 2-0 victory over Southern Utah for the Broncos.

"The way we adjusted our press, which is really uncustomary for us, and got them in their defensive half and really controlled the game, it was a fun thing to watch. It was also great to see who did it. A lot of people plugged in off the bench and were able to make the adjustments, so super happy with that."
