Honors: 2018 All-Mountain West, Doubles

OVERALL: Played in one competition during the fall semester while recovering from injury ... went 7-9 in singles overall and 7-8 in spring team duals playing primarily at No. 2 position ... in doubles went 10-13 overall on the year, teamed up with Jack Heslin at No. 1 doubles in the spring going 10-11 in duals.  

FALL HIGHLIGHTS: Saw limited action while recovering from injury ... played in one tournament the Gopher Invitational Nov. 3-5 going 0-1 in singles and doubles.

SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: Singles Play - Early in dual season played at No. 4 and 5 singles where he went a combined 1-2 with two unfinished matches ... moved up to No. 2 singles in March where he finished with a 6-6 mark ... downed Pepperdine’s (March 9) Brian Berdusco 6-3, 6-3 to clinch Broncos’ 4-1 victory ... dispatched Santa Clara’s (March 17) Robert Seby 6-1, 6-2 in 4-3 Bronco victory ... tallied  the first of two Mountain West Conference wins when he downed Nevada’s (April 8) Kostya Nesterenko 7-6, 6-1 ... recorded a two-set win 6-3, 6-3 over Air Force’s (April 13) Luke Sanderson ... defeated Idaho’s (April 21) Felipe Fonseca 6-4, 6-4. Doubles Play while paired with Jack Heslin - recorded a 6-1 win over No. 20 Arizona State’s (Feb. 23) top tandem of Michael Geerts and Thomas Wright ... defeated San Diego State’s (March 29) Nicholas Mitchell and Arnaud Restifo 6-2 ... downed UNLV’s (April 1) No. 1 pair of Alexandr Cozbinov and Courtney Lock 6-4 ... put away Fresno State’s (April 6) top team of Cem Erturk and Mantas Bugailikis 6-4 ... beat Utah State’s (April 26) Jaime Barajas and Jose Carvajal 6-3 at MW Championship.

2016-17 | SOPHOMORE SEASON

HONORS: All-Mountain West in Singles and Doubles.

OVERALL: Recorded an overall mark of 13-16 in singles playing at No. 1 singles during the team duals season where he went 7-12, went 6-4 in fall tournaments ... went 21-15 overall in doubles, 12-11 in spring duals and 9-4 in fall tournaments.

FALL HIGHLIGHTS: Participated in three fall tournaments ... went 3-1 at the ITA Mountain Regional (Oct. 19-23) in Las Vegas, Nev., where he won three straight singles matches to reached the round of 16 before falling in a third-set tiebreaker ... reached the quarterfinals or better in all three fall tournaments when playing doubles ... lost in quarterfinals of the Battle in the Bay Classic at San Francisco, Calif. (Sept. 23-25) going 2-1 with Jack Heslin ... at Dar Walters Fall Classic (Oct. 7-9) in Boise advance to quarterfinals with Ryland McDermott going 2-1 before falling ... played for the ITA Mountain Region (Oct. 19-23) championship with Jack Heslin as the tandem went 4-1 before falling in title match 2-6, 2-6.

SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: Went 7-12 while playing at No. 1 singles ... was 1-1 versus nationally ranked opponents including a victory over UC Irvine’s Sebastian Heim (March 19) 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 ret. ... finished conference season play 2-3 with wins over New Mexico’s (April 7) Bart Van Leijsen 6-3, 6-2 and Nevada’s (April 14) Julien Evrard 6-3, 6-2 ... in doubles play competed with Harvey Shackleton (2-3), Jack Heslin (7-7) and Ryland McDermott (3-1) for a combined record of 12-11 during team duals ... was 7-7 playing at No. 1 doubles with Heslin and went 1-1 versus nationally ranked opponents, they knocked off Princeton’s 14th-ranked tandem of Luke Gamble and Alexander Day 6-3 at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic (Feb. 25).

2015-16 | FRESHMAN SEASON

HONORS: ITA Mountain Region Rookie of the Year, Mountain West Freshman of the Year, All-Mountain West Doubles, Mountain West Player of the Week (March 30).

OVERALL: Finished freshman year on a 15 match win streak in singles to give him a 25-10 overall mark, went 20-7 in duals and 5-3 in singles tournaments ... went 17-10 overall in doubles playing with Toby Mitchell, 12-7 in duals and 5-3 in doubles tournaments.

FALL HIGHLIGHTS: Competed in two tournaments during the fall 2015 semester compiling a 5-3 singles record and 3-2 in doubles ... advanced to the singles consolation semifinals at the Battle in the Bay Classic at San Francisco, Calif., (Sept. 18-20) to finish with a 3-2 singles mark, went 1-1 in doubles with Toby Mitchell ... went 2-1 in singles at the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional at Albuquerque, N.M., (Oct. 20-25) reaching the round of 32, tallied a 1-1 doubles record at regional paired with Toby Mitchell.

SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: Tallied a team-best 20-7 singles record during the spring duals season playing primarily at No. 4 where he went 15-0, 3-1 at No. 2 and 2-6 at No. 3 ... went 7-0 in singles versus Mountain West opponents playing on court four ... finished year on 15-match win streak in singles going undefeated at the No. 4 position ... played doubles with Toby Mitchell going a team-best 12-7 on court one, 3-2 versus MW teams ... defeated one nationally ranked opponent in New Mexico’s Hayden Sabatka and Rodolfo Jauregui (April 3), ranked 77th at the time, by 7-5 score.

JUNIOR TENNIS

A native of Wanganui, New Zealand, where he graduated from Wanganui High School in 2014 ... a standout among the New Zealand junior ranks winning national championships in singles and doubles for every age group (U12, U14, U16 and U18) during his youth career ... obtained the No. 1 ranking in juniors for all age groups in the country ... won his first International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament at the age of 15 ... won four ITF tournament singles titles and reach six finals in doubles ... a three-time New Zealand Maori Tournament champion and a two-year member of the Junior Davis Cup team ... three-time champion of the Aotearoa national championships ... went undefeated in the World Youth Olympic Cup while playing for New Zealand ... played as New Zealand’s number one for the Junior Davis Cup at South Korea in 2013 and number two in the 2012 tournament at Australia ... member of the winning ATL Davis Cup team that competed in Australia ... part of the New Zealand development program that trained for six months in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
