BOISE STATE CAREER
2018-19: CROSS COUNTRY-
Continued her dominant career by becoming the first athlete in school history – male or female – to earn three All-America honors in cross country . . . Was the team’s top runner at all five meets she saw action in . . . Earned the sixth victory of her career – and third-straight victory in a season opener – with the five-second victory in 20:21.70 at the Sundodger Invitational (Sept. 8) . . .  Led the team to a runner-up finish after placing fifth at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, running 19:40.4 for 6k (Sept. 28) . . . Led the Broncos with a fourth-place effort (20:14.3) at the Mountain West Championships for the third first-team honors of her career (Oct. 26) . . . Had easily one of the most dominant showings of her career at the West Region Championships. Gapped the field in the first mile and held on to win the race by over 13 seconds in 19:09.0 for the seventh victory of her career on the cross country course, while being the West Region champion for the second time of her career (Nov. 9) . . . Led the team with a sixth-place showing at the NCAA National Championships, continuing her streak of never finishing outside of the top 10 at nationals (Nov. 17) . . . INDOOR- Reset her school record in the 5000m (15:16.38) at the Sharon Colyear-Danville BU Season Opener to take fourth. Time eclipsed the previous Mountain West record, and moved her to seventh on the NCAA record book (Dec. 1) . . . Had a phenomenal weekend at the UW Invitational, running the anchor leg of Boise State’s runner-up distance medley relay team as the Broncos set the Mountain West record in 10:55.42. Came back on Saturday to finish third in the mile, shattering the previous school record by seven seconds in 4:35.79 (Jan. 25-26) . . . Won a pair of conference titles as a member of the distance medley relay, while also winning the 3000m in a conference championship record of 9:11.61. Was also second in the mile (Feb. 21-23) . . . Earned First-Team All-America honors in both the 3000m and 5000m, finishing fourth and eighth, respectively, at the national championship (March 8-9) . . . . . . OUTDOOR- Wrote her name into the national record book as the first female athlete to win three-straight national titles in the steeplechase and just the 15th to win three-straight titles in the same event . . . began the season at the Stanford Invitational (March 29-30) in the 10,000m, finishing third and setting a nation-leading mark in the event . . . set a career best in the 1500m (4:14.76) at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 17-19) . . . finished first in the steeplechase (9:45.66) at the Payton Jordan Invitational (May 2) . . .  at the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championship (May 11) she finished first in the 5000m (15:45.66) and runner-up in the 1500m (4:21.47) both for the second-straight year . . . swept her events at the NCAA West Region Preliminary Round (May 23-25), taking the 3000m steeplechase in 9:40.05 and the 5000m in 15:30.94 . . . concluded the season running the fastest collegiate time of the year in the 3000m steeplechase (9:37.73) at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (June 5-8) . . . named the 2019 Mountain West Women's Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year . . . first women's athlete in conference history to win the award three-straight years . . . earned All-Mountain West honors in both the 1,500m and the 5,000m . . . garnered second-team All-America honors in the 5,000-meter . . . finished the year ranked in the top 20 nationally in the 1500m (12th- 4:14.76) and the 5000m (17th- 15:45.66) . . . named a semifinalist for The Bowerman — track and field's highest honor.

2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY- Made a successful return to cross country after missing the 2016 season with an injury . . .  Won the NCAA Elite 90 Award as the best scholar-athlete at an NCAA Championship . . . Never finished outside of the top 10 for the second season . . . Earned All-American honors with a fourth-place showing at the NCAA Championships in 19:31.2 (Nov. 18) . . . Finished in second at the West Region Championships for All-Region honors . . . Finished fourth at the Mountain West Championships (Oct. 27) . . . Ran 20:00.2 at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational to finish ninth (Oct. 13) . . . Opened the season with a victory at the Greater Louisville Classic in 16:28.15 (Sept. 30) . . . INDOOR- Competed in only three meets on the season, but made the most of her limited action . . . Earned two All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the distance medley relay and 3,000m. Ran the 1,600m leg of Boise State’s fifth-place distance medley relay – the first distance medley to qualify for a national championship in school history – in a school record 10:58.93. Came back on Saturday to take second in the 3,000m in 9:54.35, just off of her personal best (March 9-10) . . . Competed in the mile, 3,000m and distance medley relay at the conference championship. Was runner-up in the mile in 4:46.06, as well as the 3,000m. Ran the 1,600m leg on Boise State’s distance medley relay that won for the third-consecutive year, while also setting a national leading time when adjusted for altitude, as well as the then school, facility and Mountain West Championship record of 11:05.39 (Feb. 22-24) . . . Made her season debut at the Husky Classic, running 8:59.98 (Feb. 9-10) . . . OUTDOOR- Continued to cement her legacy as one of the all-time Boise State greats . . . Won the national title in the steeplechase, becoming the first underclassmen, and only second female, to win back-to-back titles in the event. Also became only the second Boise State athlete to win multiple NCAA titles during their career. Came back to finish eighth in the 5,000m to score 11 points on the weekend (June 6-9) . . . Qualified for the NCAA national championships by finishing first in the 3,000m steeplechase, and fourth in the 5,000m at the NCAA West Preliminary Round (May 24-26) . . . Earned All-Mountain West honors by winning the conference title in the 5,000m in 15:44.11, and taking second in the 1,500m in 4:20.82 (May 9-12) . . . Set a new personal best of 4:15.06 – second-fastest time in program history – at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 19-20) . . . Opened the season with a victory in the steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational (March 30-31), running a personal best of 9:38.57 . . . Also appeared in the 5,000m at the Payton Jordan Invitational (May 4).

2016-17: CROSS COUNTRY - Redshirted...INDOOR – Redshirted…OUTDOOR – Put together one of the most unique, but yet wildly successful seasons for a Boise State track athlete in school history…crowning achievement was winning the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field 3,000m steeplechase title with a career-best time of 9:41.31…the time was the second-fastest in school history, coming in just the fourth steeplechase race of her career…the NCAA title was followed up with a fourth-place performance in the 5k thanks to a 15:46.18, just 75 minutes after the conclusion of the steeplechase…accounted for 15 points by herself to give Boise State a tie for 13th place in the team standings at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships…the 15 points is tied for the most from a single Bronco at an outdoor championship in school history…was named the Mountain West Women's Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year...in total, Ostrander competed in the 1,500m, 3,000m steeplechase, 5,000m and 10,000m over the course of the outdoor season, and made an indelible mark in each event at season’s end…kicked off the season at the Stanford Invitational and logged a 9:55.61 to win the race in what was her first steeplechase…next moved to the 1,500m at the Mt. SAC Relays and clocked a 4:18.19 to become the third fastest in school history in the event…posted a 16:09.27 to win the 5k at home in the Border Clash, solidifying her qualifying spot at NCAA West Preliminaries in the event…won the 10,000m at the conference championships courtesy of a 35:51.20 and took second in the 5,000m (16:20.45), picking up 18 points for Boise State in the process…took care of business at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships, easily qualifying ahead to nationals in both the steeplechase (10:00.02) and 5,000m (16:25.76)…put the cherry on top of a stellar outdoor season by winning the 90th Mount Marathon Race (a grueling three-mile mountain race) in Seward, Alaska with a time 49:18 – good for the second-fastest time in the event’s history.

2015-16: CROSS COUNTRY - The National Runner-Up at the NCAA Championships, Ostrander had arguably one of the most successful seasons for a women’s freshman in Division I Cross Country history…ran a 19:33.6 on the 6k course at nationals to earn All-America honors, finishing second only to Notre Dame’s Molly Seidel…won the NCAA West Region Championship after running a 20:10.9, 22 seconds clear of the second-place competitor…named the West Region Women’s Athlete of the Year shortly after…victorious at the Mountain West Championships, recording a 21:49.97 on her way to becoming just the second freshman in MW history to win the individual title of the women’s side, joining BYU’s Kassi Andersen (2002)…earned huge victory during the regular season, capturing the Wisconsin adidas Invitational with a 6-kilometer course record time of 19:19.5 (breaking the previous record by 12 seconds, held by seven-time national champion Abbey D’Agostino)…she joined Cal Poly’s Laura Hollander (2012) as just the second freshman in meet history to win the prestigious event… her first national-caliber meet of the year at the Roy Griak Invitational saw her take second (21:09.4), and the team claimed the title with 37 points – the fifth-lowest team score in Roy Griak Invitational history…opened the year at the Dual in Speedway Meadow and won her first collegiate title with a 21:00.4 6k time…competing for Team USA, she won the 2015 Junior World Mountain Running Championships (19:44 – 4.7-kilometer course), becoming just the second junior in United States’ history to win the individual title…was named the USTFCCCA Division I Women’s National Athlete of the Week after her victory at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, making her the second Bronco in school history to earn the honor…also earned the Mountain West Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor three times over the course of the season, making her the first athlete in conference history to accomplish the feat...INDOOR – Continued her wild success from cross country, competed in four meets in her debut indoor season…USTFCCCA West Region Women’s Track Athlete of the Year…was named the Mountain West Indoor Women’s Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year…received MW weekly recognition twice; Feb. 2 and Feb. 16…started the year at the UW Invitational where she ran in the 5,000m and clocked a 15:21.85 for second place – good for the new school and Mountain West records…she duplicated the feat two weeks later at the Husky Classic in the 3,000m, running an 8:54.27 to shatter the previous school and conference records…competed in one event at the conference championships, running the 1,600m leg on the DMR team to help the squad win the event and run the fastest time in school history (11:16.41)…also competed in the 5,000m at the national championships, but was unable to finish the race and was forced to step off...OUTDOOR - Did not compete.

PREP: After winning the Nike Cross National Championship last fall with a time of 17:19, Allie Ostrander enters her Boise State career as one of the most sought after prep stars in the nation. The Kenai, Alaska native earned 10 state titles over a four-year span while competing for Kenai Central. She won 36 of the 40 races she competed in during her senior year at Kenai Central High School in track and field. Ostrander's time of 9:58.74 in the 3,200m is currently the No. 2 high school time in the country.
