Maddy Zerr joined Boise State in fall 2021 as a graduate assistant and was promoted to assistant coach in July 2023. She primarily works with the Broncos’ hitters and infielders.

In 2022, Zerr helped guide Boise State’s offense that led the Mountain West in batting average (.316), scoring (7.08 runs per game), doubles (90), home runs per game (1.48) and on-base percentage (.405). In addition, the Broncos led the nation with a .983 fielding percentage.

Boise State set school records in 2023 for home runs (81), on-base percentage (.418) and slugging percentage (.567) and won the Mountain West regular-season title.

Zerer was a four-year letterwinner at Central Washington and three-year member of the GNAC All-Academic Team. Over her career, Zerr batted .306 with a .414 on-base percentage. She helped lead the Wildcats to a regional appearance with a .462 OBP, .914 OPS and .990 fielding percentage in 2021, being named the CWU All-Athletics Female Athlete Leader of the Year. In 2019, Zerr earned All-GNAC Team and NFCA All-Region Second Team honors, while winning the GNAC conference title and making a West Coast Regional appearance.

She earned a bacheor's degree at Central Washington and a master's degree from Boise State.
