Rayan Hawili joined Boise State as Associate Director of Sports Performance in January 2020.

Prior to coming to Boise, Hawili was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Illinois State, where he worked with the Redbirds' women's basketball and softball programs, in addition to the jumpers on the track and field team. There, he was responsible for implementing and evaluating all aspects of athletic development for the programs.

He spent two and a half years (2017-19) with the strength and conditioning staff at North Dakota State, first as an intern, then as a graduate assistant from May 2018 to August 2019. Hawili worked primarily with the Bison softball and men's golf teams, while overseeing training for the track and field team's jumpers and middle-distance runners.

Hawili got his start at his alma mater, Saginaw Valley State, where he was an intern with the strength and conditioning staff, working with the football team and the pitching staff of the baseball program.

Hawili played two seasons for the Cardinal football team (2013-14) at cornerback. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2017, then earned his Master's in health, nutrition, and exercise science from North Dakota State. He holds certifications with the NSCA and in CPR/First Aid.
