SOPHOMORE (2023-24)

  • Honors: All-Mountain West in Singles.
  • Notable Statistics & Rankings: Finished with a 16-15 overall singles record, 8-13 in duals, 8-2 in tournaments and 2-2 in league...went 13-16 in doubles, 11-10 in spring duals, 2-6 in tournaments and 2-2 in conference.
  • Fall Season: Played in two fall tournaments going 7-1...reached quarterfinal round in singles at ITA Mountain Region Championship (Sept. 28-Oct.1).
  • Spring Season: Play singles in 24 duals going 8-13 playing all but one at No. 2...went 1-4 versus nationally ranked opponents in singles with the lone win coming against then-fourth-ranked Ozan Baris of Michigan State (Feb. 23)...play doubles in 24 dual contests going 11-10 overall...went went 6-7 at No. 1 doubles playing with Sam Sippel...van Assendelft and Sippel recorded a 6-3 victory over then-16th-ranked Codie van Schalkwyk and Connor van Schalkwyk of Old Dominion (Feb. 24)...helped Broncos win both the Mountain West regular season and tournament titles. 

FRESHMAN (2022-23 at Oklahoma)

  • Notable Statistics & Rankings: Tallied a 5-5 record in singles and went 3-1 in doubles.
  • Fall Season: Collected two wins at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships (Oct. 1-9).
  • Spring Season: Saw limited action winning his lone singles match - at the sixth position - during the team dual season...won the only doubles contest he played at No. 3, partnered with Siphos Montsi.

PRIOR TO COLLEGE

  • Junior Tennis: As a junior tennis player his highest ITF career ranking was 477 in July of 2022...pre-college UTR rating was 13.01.
