Velasquez joins the Broncos after a prominent career at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz., Velasquez was the runner-up at the 2024 AIA Division I Championships in discus while posting a third-place finish in Javelin throw. At the 2023 AIA Division I Championships she turned in a second-place finish in shot put, In 2024, she ranked in the top-five for the state of Arizona in javelin, shot put, hammer throw and weight throw.
