2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY-Â Was one spot shy of All-MW honors by placing 15th at the Mountain West Championships (Oct. 27) . . . No. 5 runner for Boise State at the West Region Championships in 20:53.5 for 6k (Nov. 10) . . . Opened the season as the No. 4 Bronco in 22nd at the Greater Louisville Classic (Sept. 30) . . . Also appeared at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational (Oct. 13)Â . . . INDOOR- Was a scorer at the Mountain West Championship in the 5,000m, taking fifth in 16:37.02 (Feb. 22-24) . . .Won her heat of the 3,000m at the UW Invitational. Her time of 9:35.34 set a new personal best and was good for 16th overall (Jan. 26-27)Â . . . OUTDOOR- Appeared in three meets, racing in the 5,000m and 10,000m . . . Came just shy of qualifying for the NCAA Championships, finishing 16th in the 10,000m at the NCAA West Preliminary Round (May 24-26) . . . Scored four points at the Mountain West Championship with a fifth-place finish in the 5,000m in a time of 16:26.99 (May 9-12) . . . Opened the season with a 34:14.18 effort in the Stanford Invitational (March 30-31).
PRIOR TO BOISE STATEComing to Boise State as a graduate transfer from Portland, Grace McConnochie recently took 11th in the 10,000m at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships for Second Team All-America honors. The native of Gisbourne, New Zealand peaked towards the end of the 2017 outdoor season, clocking a career-best 33:31.74 at nationals. She has logged experience at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships and also brings success in the classroom as a 2015 and 2016 West Coast Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention honoree.
