Redshirt Junior (2011-12) - Went 13-14 as a junior, taking fourth at the Pac-12 Championships...finished with one win by major decision against Max Ortega from Adams State...runner-up at the Cowboy open where he lost to Boris Novachkov in the finals, 2-1...named to Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. Redshirt Sophomore (2010-11) - Saw action in two duals and four tournaments....finished the year with a 13-6 overall record thanks in part to a 5-0 finish at the Northern Colorado Old Chicago Open...won two matches by major decision at the Old Chicago Open en route to capturing the 141-pound title...also wrestled at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite, the Reno Tournament of Champions and the Utah Valley Open...won the UVU Open with a 3-0 record on the weekend...named Pac-10 Conference All-Academic First Team. Redshirt Freshman (2009-10) - Strait wrestled in four tournaments during his redshirt freshman season with the Broncos...finished the spring with a 12-6 overall record...earned third-place finishes at both the Inland NW Collegiate tournament and the Utah Valley Open. Freshman (2008-09) - Redshirted High School - Strait finished his highly decorated high school career with two state championships, a state runner-up and a third-place finish. He posted a career record of 158-11, including three 40 win seasons. Strait[apos]s state titles came in his freshman and senior seasons, which he recorded 40-3 and 40-2 records, respectively. Strait is also a five time Cadet/Junior USA Wrestling All-American. He graduated high school as a National Honor Society member and ranked third in his class. His high school coach was Lonny Pahlke.
