Bettles Eliminated from All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - Andy Bettles' winning streak at the ITA All-American Championships came to an end Thursday when he lost in the first round of the main draw followed by a second loss in the consolation bracket.

Bettles faced No. 80 Max Wennakoski of VCU in the first match which ended in a 6-1, 6-4 defeat.

In the consolation the junior fell against No. 46 Daniel Whitehead of Texas 6-2, 6-4.

Bettles went 3-2 at the tournament overall, winning his first two matches in straight sets before mounting a comeback in his final match of qualifying.
