COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State's Nathan Sereke was named the Mountain West Men's Tennis Player of the Week, Wednesday.

A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Sereke helped 30th-ranked Boise State secure victories over No. 48 San Diego State (W, 6-1) and No. 26 Fresno State (W, 4-3), respectively. Sereke began the week by downing San Diego State's Hunter Nicholas, 6-3, 6-1, at the No. 4 singles position last Thursday. He went on to clinch the match against Fresno State on Saturday, helping the Broncos to a narrow dual match victory after securing a 6-2, 6-2 victory over the Bulldogs' David Ayoun at the fourth singles spot.

The honor marks the second-consecutive week a Broncos has been named Player of the Week after James Meredith was tapped last week. Sophomore Andy Bettles was also awarded earlier this season.

The men's team will look to defend its 22-home match win streak this weekend when during a doubleheader which begins Saturday, April 5 at 10:30 against Air Force and concludes with a 5 p.m. match against Weber State.
