Platzeck and Lalovic Fall in Consolation Semis

PROVO, Utah - Pedro Platzeck and Stefan Lalovic advanced to the consolation semifinals for doubles, before narrowly dropping their match on day three of the ITA Mountain Region Championships, Friday.
In the consolation semifinals, Platzeck and Lalovic fell to Utah State's Sergui Bucur and Valdemar Holm, 8-6.
Platzeck and Lalovic downed a pair of Air Force tandems in both the consolation round of 16 and the consolation quarterfinals. The Boise State duo got to work in the morning, defeating the Air Force team of Sean McKendree and Santiago Garcia, 8-5.
An hour later, Plazteck and Lalovic downed Air Force's Paul Hendrix and Jamie Bautista, 8-4, to advance to the consolation semifinals.
In the doubles round of 16, Boise State's Matteo Tinelli and Ryland McDermott fell to BYU's Sam Tullis and David Ball, 8-4.
Lalovic also competed in the consolation round of 16 for singles, but fell to Thomas Fisher of NAU, 6-4, 7-6.
Boise State will return to action at the Gonzaga Invitational, Oct. 27-29.
