Broncos Finish Tied for Third in Portland

All four scorers finish in the top 25 at Rose City Collegiate
AURORA, Ore. – The Boise State women's golf team finished in a tie for third at the Rose City Collegiate, Tuesday at Langdon Farms Golf Course. The Broncos shot 898 (292-296-310, +34) to finish tied with Northern Colorado, and were only four strokes behind host-Portland State, which won the team title.
Boise State placed all four scorers in the top 25, including two in the top 10. Alejandra Lobelo and Nicole Suppelsa finished tied for sixth with a score of 223 (+7). Lobelo rose seven spots up the leaderboard on Tuesday, firing rounds of 71-78-74. Suppelsa shot rounds of 70-73-80 during the tournament.
Fellow sophomore Lexi Perry was two strokes back of the pair in a tie for 13th. Perry concluded the tournament with a score of 225 (75-73-77, +9) for the fifth top 25 finish of her career.
Senior Tara Finigan rounded out the Bronco quartet to crack the top 25, finishing in a tie for 21st. Finigan fired off rounds of 76-72-81 (229, +13).
Making her collegiate debut, Cora Mickelsen shot 242 (85-78-79, +26) on the week.
Jalayne Martinez (82-78-84 – 244, +28) and Morgan Lashley (87-83-77 – 247, +31) competed at the tournament as individuals.
The Broncos will return to action in two weeks at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invite (Oct. 15-16), in Tacoma, Wash.
