BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State football team will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., for a match-up with Air Force, Saturday (Oct. 27). Kick between the Broncos and Falcons is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Falcon Stadium, and the game will be nationally televised by CBS Sports Network.

Falcon Stadium is the only Mountain West venue at which the Broncos have not won a game.

SPREADING IT AROUND: Boise State is one of just four schools in the country with eight receivers catching at least one pass in every game this season. The other three are Georgia, Iowa State and Washington State. Additionally, Brett Rypien is one of only seven quarterbacks in the country to hit at least seven receivers in each game. The other six are Justice Hansen (Arkansas State), Dan Ellington (Georgia State), Peyton Ramsey (Indiana), Drew Lock (Missouri), Nathan Elliott (North Carolina) and Gardner Minshew II (Washington State).

STAYING PERFECT AGAINST THE RAMS: Boise State's 56-28 win over Colorado State on Oct. 19 kept the Broncos perfect all-time against the Rams at 8-0. Colorado State remains one of just two Mountain West teams to be winless all-time against the Broncos, with San Jose State being the other.

SCORING ON KICKOFF AND PUNT RETURNS: Boise State's special teams scored on both a punt return and a kickoff return Oct. 19 against Colorado State, marking what is believed to be the first time the Broncos have pulled that feat in program history.

With the exception of missing box scores from the 1981 season, this current campaign is the only one since 1968 in which the Broncos have scored touchdowns on a kickoff and punt return in a single game. Kekaula Kaniho was credited with a 74-yard punt return touchdown after picking up teammate Avery Williams' fumble after an initial return of 10 yards on the first-quarter punt, and Williams grabbed an onside kick on the bounce and dashed 44 yards for the score in the fourth quarter against the Rams.

GRAND THEFT FOOTBALL: PICK CITY: Boise State picked off a pair of passes Oct. 19 against Colorado State, marking its first multi-interception game this season. The Broncos have now picked off three passes over their last two games after a streak of three games without an interception. For the season, redshirt sophomore cornerback Avery Williams leads the team with two picks after nabbing one against the Rams.

KANIHO HITS THE TRIFECTA: Sophomore SLB Kekaula Kaniho demonstrated once again on Oct. 19 against Colorado State his flair for the big play, being in the right spot to scoop up Avery Williams' fumble on a first-quarter punt return and take it 74 yards for a touchdown.

As it officially goes in the books as a 74-yard punt return touchdown for Kaniho, it marks the third non-offensive touchdown of his career, and he is believed to be (due to incomplete records in early seasons of the program's history) the only Boise State player to have scored touchdowns on a fumble return (Oct. 14, 2017 at San Diego State), interception return (2017 Las Vegas Bowl against Oregon), and a punt return.

SEEING NOTHING BUT WEAVER: Redshirt sophomore STUD Curtis Weaver was all over the Colorado State backfield Oct. 19, recording 2.5 sacks to take the Boise State team lead at 5.5 this season.

Weaver's performance marked the most sacks in a game for a Bronco since David Moa also had 2.5 at Oregon State on Sept. 24, 2016. It also brought his career sack total to 16.5, just 2.5 outside of the all-time Boise State Top 10.

BACK TO CLEAN FOOTBALL: The Bronco offense played its third turnover-free game of the season Oct. 19 against Colorado State, and the clean football showed in the 56-28 win. For the Bronco quarterbacks, it was a welcome change after throwing a combined six picks over the last two games following a four-game interception-free start to the campaign.

THIRD-DOWN SUCCESS: Boise State's success on third downs has been key to the Broncos' 5-2 start this season, as the team ranks second in the nation with a 55.6 percent success rate, behind only Alabama (56.2). Out of seven games this season, the Broncos have failed to convert half of their third downs in just one, when they went 6-for-19 against San Diego State on Oct. 6. In its most recent outing against Colorado State (Oct. 19), the Broncos went an incredible 9-for-11 on third-down conversions.

RICHARDSON KEEPS ROLLING: Redshirt senior A.J. Richardson continues to shine in his final season in Boise, as Oct. 19 against Colorado State he posted career highs in receiving yards (137) and touchdown catches (two) while matching his best with six receptions. The performance also put him in the team lead in receiving yards (567) and touchdown catches (six). Richardson starred on the Broncos' opening drive, catching three passes for 67 yards, capping it with a 13-yard scoring grab. He hit the 100-yard receiving mark in the first quarter alone, and the 137-yard performance, eclipsing his previous best of 123 yards last season against Air Force, marked the third time this season and fourth time in his career that he's hit the century mark.
