ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Sadi Henderson and Alexis Fuller won titles in the 800m and mile, respectively, and the Boise State women's track and field team came within 17 points of winning their first Mountain West team title, Saturday to close out the 2018 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The Broncos scored 82 points to finish third - their highest point total as members of the Mountain West, and tied for their highest finish at the indoor conference championships (2016). The 17-point margin is the closest Boise State has come to a Mountain West title.

The men took fifth with 55 points, improving on their sixth-place finish last year. The combined 137 points for both the men's and women's teams is the highest point total for the program since the Mountain West expanded in 2014.

Fuller started off the day with a thrilling victory in the mile. After staying in the back of the field for much of the race, Fuller made a move on the final curve, passing teammate Allie Ostrander and New Mexico's Ednah Kurgat to give Fuller her second-career Mountain West title after winning the 800m in 2016 as a freshman.

Fuller's time of 4:45.73 is the third-fastest time in Mountain West Championship history, while Ostrander was able to hang on for second place in 4:46.06. Both times are personal bests.

A day after resetting the Mountain West Championship in the 800m, Henderson did so again, surviving a late charge from UNLV's Avi' Tal Perteete to win the 800m in 2:03.95. The win defended her title 800m title from last season, and continues a string of three-straight 800-meter conference titles after winning the outdoor title last spring.

Henderson is the first runner to win back-to-back indoor titles in the 800m in the conference since BYU's Lacey Bleazard (nee Cramer) won three-straight titles (2009-11).

Amy Pfaff (2:08.90) and Kristie Schoffield (2:12.47) took third and sixth, respectively, to give Boise State 19 points in the event. The three would come back to lead Boise State to a sixth-place finish in the 4x400 in 3:45.98. Chelsea Walker - who took sixth in the open 400m - ran the third leg of the relay.

Courtney Hutchinson took eighth in the shot put to give the Broncos a point, while Ostrander and Clare O'Brien went 2-4 in the 3000 meter to give Boise State 13 points.

On the men's side, Boise State got 11 points in the mile, thanks to a 3-6-7 finish from Yusuke Uchikoshi (4:08.00), Jeff Lautenslager (4:11.85) and Andrew Rafla (4:12.22). In the men's 3000 meter, Addison Dehaven battled to a third-place finish in 8:17.19.

Alexandru Terpezan provided 12 points to the Broncos, the most by any individual for Boise State in the men's side. In his final competition for the Blue and Orange, Terpezan took second in the 200m (21.22), and fifth in the 60 meter (6.99). Junior Bryce Kirby took second in the 60m in 6.84.

Ryan Cavinta (fifth) and Noah Horsburgh (eighth) also scored for the Broncos in the 60m hurdles and 800m, respectively.
