BOISE, Idaho - Boise State closes a two-week stretch in which three of its four games were on the road this Saturday, heading to Laramie for the return meeting with Wyoming at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State was all business Wednesday night against Air Force, jumping out to a 14-2 lead, going into halftime up 15, then breaking the game open with a 26-10 third quarter en route to
a 79-48 win.

The Broncos shot 50.7 percent from the field in the win, led by A'Shanti Coleman's 9-for-10, 18-point performance. Jayde Christopher had her conductor's stick in hand, driving for 11 points and passing out five assists, while Braydey Hodgins added 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting including three triples.

The defense clamped down from the start, holding the Falcons to just 27.9-percent shooting in the contest, including a 2-for-12 mark from deep. The Broncos also blocked 11 shots, the second-highest single-game total in program history, and out-rebounded the Falcons, 51-33, led by 10 from Joyce Harrell.

WHO'S NEXT
The Broncos complete the regular-season series against Wyoming Saturday, traveling to Laramie for a 1 p.m. tip.

The Cowgirls (10-5, 3-3 MW) snapped a two-game slide Wednesday with a 70-56 win at San Jose State. Over three home Mountain West games, Wyoming is averaging 84.0 points.

Marta Gomez leads the Cowgirls with 15.3 points per game and is shooting 46.0 percent from the field, including a 45.8-percent mark from 3-point range. Bailee Cotton averages 11.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

WHEN WE LAST MET
Boise State and Wyoming met in the conference opener Jan. 2 at Taco Bell Arena, with the Broncos riding a big second half to the 72-64 win.

Wyoming held a slim 29-28 lead at halftime, and pushed it to 33-28 early in the third quarter before Riley Lupfer, who would finish the game with 22 points, spurred an 11-1 Bronco run that gave Boise State the lead for good.

The Cowgirls would get to within two twice in the fourth quarter, but each time, Braydey Hodgins would hit a big 3-pointer to rebuild Boise State's cushion.

BEST START SINCE THE 70s
Boise State, at 15-2, is off to its best start since also opening 15-2 in 1977-78.

That Bronco team opened 2-2 then reeled off 13-straight wins en route to finishing the season 17-6 and 11-2 in Northwest Basketball League (NWBL) play.

This season's 15-2 start is just the fourth time that the Broncos have won 15 of their first 17 games, with the other occasions being 1971-72 (15-2), 1974-75 (16-1), and 1977-78 (15-2).

PROGRAM-RECORD STREAK
Boise State set a program record Wednesday with its 16th-straight win against a conference opponent, defeating Air Force, 79-48.

While the win extended Boise State's program-best run against Mountain West competition (winning the last seven regular-season games of last season, three Mountain West tournament games, and this year's first six regular-season games), it eclipsed the program's all-time best mark against conference competition of 15, set from Jan. 12-March 12, 2008, against WAC competition.

The previous best streak against Mountain West competition was a 12-game run over the end of the 2016-17 season and first two games of last year.

TEN-GAME WINNING STREAK (AGAIN)
Wednesday's win against Air Force extended the Broncos' current winning streak to 10 games, marking the third-straight season in which Boise State has posted a 10-game winning streak.

In both 2016-17 and 2017-18, the Broncos entered the NCAA Tournament on a 10-game winning streak, having won the final seven games of the regular season and three-straight in the Mountain West Tournament.

Saturday's game at Wyoming presents an opportunity to stretch the run to 11, which would mark Boise State's first-such streak since winning 15-straight games during the 2007-08 campaign.

PRETTY HEADY COMPANY
Through Wednesday (Jan. 23), Boise State's 10-game winning streak made it one of just six teams currently on a double-digit run, joining N.C. State (18), Notre Dame (11), Oregon (10), Stanford (10), and BYU (10).

WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY
Boise State blocked a season-high 11 shots in Wednesday's win over Air Force, a figure which also came up just one shy of the single-game program record of 12 set against Fresno State on March 14, 2013.

Rachel Bowers, A'Shanti Coleman, and Joyce Harrell led the way with two blocks apiece Wednesday, with Coleman upping her team-leading total for the year to 20.

D-ING IT UP
For the third time in the last four meetings with Air Force, Boise State held the Falcons to under 30-percent shooting Wednesday, as the Falcons finished at 27.9 percent (17-for-61).

The Broncos dominance also extended to the glass, as Joyce Harrell (10 rebounds) paced a Boise State effort which out-rebounded the Falcons, 51-33, on the night, marking the team's best single-game rebounding margin this season.

CAN'T HANDLE CHRISTOPHER
Redshirt junior point guard Jayde Christopher has proven to be too fast and too smooth for Mountain West opponents in her debut season since transferring from Kansas. Through six games, Christopher has passed out 33 assists while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and averaging 7.3 points.

Wednesday against Air Force, Christopher was at it again, cutting and slashing her way to 11 points while dishing out five assists.

The depth also applies to rebounding, as six Broncos are averaging at least three a game in Mountain West Play.
