WHAT IS HAPPENING

Boise State's women's tennis team returns to action after an off-week to travel to Pullman, Wash., for the Washington State Cougar Classic this Friday through Sunday.

REPRESENTING THE BRONCOS

Five student-athletes will be travelling to represent Boise State this weekend. Vanessa Timm will look to keep the ball rolling after she claimed the singles championship of the ISU Fall Invitational two weekends ago. Through two tournaments this season, the junior Timm is a blistering 5-1 in singles play to lead the way for the Blue and Orange.
Emily Strande returns to the lineup after having not competed at the ISU Fall Invitational, and will be joined by fellow sophomore Frankie Trella. Two freshmen in Camryn Moortgat and Ana Conde Vendrell will also make the journey up to Washington State.

The Broncos will have two pairings competing in the doubles flight as Conde Vendrell and Strande will form a duo in addition to Timm and Moortgat teaming up.

TOURNAMENT FIELD AND FORMAT

The tournament will bring together nine teams from five different conferences to compete against each other. Boise State and Utah State will be representing the Mountain West, while Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana and Montana State will compete on behalf of the Big Sky Conference. Also competing will be Seattle from the Western Athletic Conference, Gonzaga from the West Coast Conference, and of course Washington State from the Pacific-12.

LOCATION AND TIME

All matches are slated to be held at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts on Washington State's campus. The matches are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. mountain time Friday morning.

HEAD COACH BECK ROGHAAR

With a career record of 106-92 and six winning seasons, Roghaar has made his mark on Boise State in his tenth season with the program. He became the second coach in program history to reach 100 wins on January 19, 2019 after a 6-1 win against Idaho State. In the 2017-18 season he coached the team to a 14-8 record and the Mountain West Mountain Division regular-season title after going 5-0 against divisional opponents. The 2011 WAC Coach of the Year continues to build a rising Boise State program that has been built on the values of toughness and passion.
