Broncos Face Strong Field in California

THE EVENT: The Boise State men's golf team travels to Fairfax, Calif., for the Alister MacKenzie Invitational Oct. 7-8…the 54-hole event consists of 36 holes, Monday and 18 holes, Tuesday…shotgun start begins at 9:15 a.m. MT, Monday and tee times start at 9 a.m. MT, Tuesday.
 
THE COURSE: Teams will play the Par 71, 6,734-yard course at Meadow Club.
 
THE FIELD: Boise State is one of five Mountain West schools competing in the tournament, joining Fresno State, Nevada, San Diego State and San Jose State…other schools include host California, Chattanooga, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, San Diego, Santa Clara, St. Mary's (Calif.) and UC Santa Barbara.
 
THE LINEUP: Junior Skyler Eubank, sophomore Hugo Townsend, freshman Alex Talbot, senior Mason Schulze and senior Brian Humphreys…collegiate debut for Talbot.
 
LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos finished ninth at the rain-shortened Husky Invitational Sept. 16-17…Skyler Eubank earned his second-straight top-25 finish to open the season.
 
THE COACHES: Dan Potter is in his sixth season as the head coach of the Broncos…Boise State has won a pair of tournaments and earned a dozen top-three finishes under Potter…assistant coach Kavan Eubank is in his first season with the Broncos.
