
Broncos to Play For Two Titles at Duck Invitational

Blake Bayldon will play for a singles and doubles title on Sunday.
EUGENE, Ore. - Blake Bayldon swept through his competition on Saturday to advance to the singles flight B and the doubles championship matches on Sunday at the Duck Invitational. The junior teamed up with Simon Arca Costas to win a pair of doubles matches Saturday morning, then put away his singles opponent in the semifinals to set up a chance to win a pair of titles on Sunday.
The day began with both of Boise State's doubles teams playing in the quarterfinals. Bayldon and Arca Costas beat Portland's Tom Hann and Kostya Nesterenko 8-7(4). The Bronco tandem then dispatched Oregon's Emmanuel Coste and Brandon Lam 8-3 to move into Sunday's final.
The team of Wyatt DeMulling and Kyryll Kryvchun won their quarterfinal match defeating Oregon's Jesper Klöv-Nilsson and Luke Vandecasteele 8-7(4). They then fell in a heartbreaker to Pacific's Philip Hjorth and Ross Watson 8-7(5)
Boise State enter singles with three Broncos playing in the semifinals, unfortunately, only Bayldon advanced to the final. Bayldon, the No. 1 seed in the B flight, took on Portland's Issa Yoshida in his semifinal match, defeating the Pilot in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 7-5. He will face Portland's Nicklas Oberg for the title Sunday morning.
DeMulling and Kryvchun played in the A flight semifinals, both lost. DeMulling was beaten by Pacific's Hjorth 6-0, 6-1, while Kryvchun lost in three sets to Oregon's Ty Gentry 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.
