KA'ANAPALI, Hawaii – The Boise State men's golf team ran out of gas in Sunday's final round and settled for a 10th-place finish at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational. The Broncos shot a 1-over (285) in round three and wound up at 17-under (275-275-285-835).

The nine teams that finished ahead of Boise State are ranked 51st or better nationally, and eight of them are Power 5 schools. Fifth-ranked Oklahoma captured the tournament title at 47-under (268-274-263-805).

The Broncos bested 10 schools in the 20-team field, including Mountain West opponents Wyoming and Air Force by 11 and 27 strokes, respectively.

"Skyler (Eubank) had another great round today," Boise State head coach Dan Potter said. "Mason (Schulze) was solid again and had two nice tournaments to end the fall. Today was a bad day for the team. Our good rounds are plenty good, but our bad scores are far too bad. Today will leave a bad taste going into the offseason and that's okay. We simply have to get a lot better."

Eubank was strong down the stretch making a pair of birdies and an eagle on his back nine to card a 5-under 66. He finished tied for 18th at 7-under (75-65-66-206). It was the junior's third top-25 this season. He tied for 26th and tied for 28th in the other two fall events.

Schulze posted a 1-under 70, Sunday and tied for 25th at 6-under (71-66-70-207). It was the second-straight top-25 finish for Schulze and the fifth of his career.

Hugo Townsend took a step back Sunday and wound up tied for 41st at 3-under (66-69-75-210). Brian Humphreys tied for 72nd at 4-over (68-75-74-217) and Joe Neuheisel tied for 100th at 11-over (70-79-75-224).

The Broncos will take a break from competition until Feb. 21-23 when they travel to Palm Desert, Calif., for the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate hosted by Wyoming.
