Boise State Game Notes

Boise State men's basketball opens Mountain West play Wednesday, at New Mexico. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast by Stadium on the Watch Stadium platform and on Facebook. A radio call of the game will be available on the Bronco Radio Network, including flagship station 670 KBOI AM, and online through TuneIn.

ABOUT THE LOBOS: New Mexico is 7-2 on the season, including 5-0 at home. Four different Lobos are scoring in double figures. New Mexico leads the country in free throw attempts and free throws made. The team is shooting 71.2 percent from the line on 25.4 attempts per game. Defensively, the Lobos are holding opponents to 28.9 percent three-point shooting.

SERIES HISTORY: New Mexico leads the all-time series 11-5. All 16 meetings have come since Boise State joined the Mountain West Conference, beginning with the 2011-12 season. Boise State is 2-6 all-time on the road in the series. The last four meetings have been decided by a combined 10 points, including the Broncos' thrilling 73-71 comeback win in 2018.

EARLY START: Wednesday's game marks the earliest conference game in Boise State history. It is the first time the Broncos have opened league play before Christmas. They will play their second Mountain West game Saturday, at home against Colorado State.

BRONCO SATURDAY: Boise State's next home game is Saturday, against Colorado State. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. MT, following the Mountain West Football Championship between Boise State and Hawai'i, kicking off at 2 p.m. at Albertsons Stadium. Fans with a ticket to the football game can purchase tickets for the men's basketball game that night for $5 each, while supplies last. Discounted tickets can be purchased on game day or ahead of time through the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office.
