BOISE, Idaho - Boise State begins the penultimate week of the Mountain West season Wednesday, traveling to Fort Collins to take on Colorado State for a 7 p.m. tip.

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State had its six-game winning streak snapped last Saturday in an 81-68 loss at Utah State.

Braydey Hodgins scored 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting and a 7-for-8 showing from the line, becoming just the second Bronco in program history to record five-straight 20-point games, but it was not enough as the Aggies shot a Boise State opponent season-high 56.3 percent from the field.

Hodgins led four Broncos scoring in double figures as A'Shanti Coleman had 14 on 7-for-14 shooting, Marta Hermida scored 11 to post her fourth-straight game in double figures, and Jayde Christopher scored 10 to go with seven assists.

WHO'S NEXT
Boise State begins the penultimate week of the Mountain West season with its penultimate road game, traveling to Fort Collins to face Colorado State Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Rams have lost five-straight and 12 of 13 since opening the conference campaign with a win over UNLV.  Last week, Colorado State fell, 78-70, at home to San Jose State, before dropping a 56-32 Border War showdown at Wyoming last Saturday.

Colorado State is led by the play of Lore Devos, the team's leading scorer and rebounder at 13.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

THE LAST MEETING
Boise State ran its winning streak against the Rams to five with a 70-57 victory at Taco Bell Arena on Jan. 30.

In that contest, the Broncos jumped out to an 11-point halftime lead and swelled it to 17 at 60-43 through three quarters. Riley Lupfer hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 points to pace Boise State, while Rachel Bowers added 13 points on 6-for-7 shooting.

SUCCESS AT MOBY
Moby Arena, Colorado State's home court, had been a fortress of sorts for the Rams during the program's four-straight Mountain West regular-season titles from 2014-17, but the Broncos seem to have cracked the code, winning each of its past two trips.

Two years ago, the Broncos ended Colorado State's 27-game conference home winning streak with a 51-455 win at Moby on Dec. 31, 2016. Last year, the Broncos again spoiled Colorado State's Mountain West home opener, coming back from a 12-point second-quarter deficit to beat the Rams, 62-58.

HODGINS MAKING HISTORY
Braydey Hodgins became just the second Bronco in program history, and the first in over 20 years, to put together a streak of five 20-point games after going for 23 Saturday at Utah State.

Hodgins joined Michelle Schultz (1991-96) on that list, and, with a 20-point effort Wednesday at Colorado State, would match Schultz' program record of six-straight 20-point games set from Dec. 31, 1995 to Jan. 20, 1996.

Over this current five-game run, Hodgins is averaging 23.0 points per game with FG/3FG/FT percentages of 53.5/46.5/82.6. She also averages 2.8 rebounds and 2.20 steals per game.

CHASING THE BEST MW RECORD
Saturday's loss at Utah State was a stumble on Boise State's quest for the program's best Mountain West record, but the goal is still attainable.

With four games remaining, the Broncos sit at 12-2, and would need to win three of the final four games to eclipse last year's 14-4 mark.

HERMIDA ON A RUN
Senior Marta Hermida has put together a solid run of late, scoring in double figures in each of the last four games and averaging 13.8 points over that span.

The Madrid, Spain, native is aiming to end her Bronco career with a flourish, as she's already posting a career season, shooting-wise, in 2018-19. Headed into the final weeks, Hermida is shooting career best percentages of 43.3 from the field, 39.4 from 3-point range, and 79.4 from the line.

AVOID BACK-TO-BACK LOSSES
Saturday's loss in Logan was just the fourth of the season for the Broncos, and, for the fourth time this year, Boise State will aim to avoid back-to-back setbacks when it visits Colorado State.

So far this year, the Broncos have responded well to defeat. After their first loss, a 74-55 defeat to No. 5/4 Louisville, the Broncos won two-straight. Then, after a loss at Washington State on Dec. 1, the Broncos won 10 in a row before having that run snapped Jan. 26 at Wyoming. Boise State went on to win its next six games since that defeat.

In fact, Boise State, without back-to-back losses this season, is on pace for just the fourth campaign without consecutive losses in program history, and the first since going 14-1 in 1973-74.

CHRISTOPHER KEEPS PASSING OUT THE HELPERS
Redshirt junior point guard Jayde Christopher recorded seven assists for the second-straight contest Saturday at Utah State, bringing her total of such performances (at least seven assists) this season to nine.

Christopher, who transferred from Kansas following the 2016-17 season and sat out last year due to NCAA transfer rules, currently leads the Broncos and ranks second in the Mountain West with 143 assists (5.72 per game). That total also ranks fifth in Boise State single-season history, 49 behind the benchmark of 192 set by Yaiza Rodriguez in 2016-17.
