Akron won the team title with 637.5 points, followed by Rice in second with 617, Florida International in third with 465 and Boise State in fourth. This was the second-straight year that the Broncos competed at the CSCAA NIC and it was the second straight top-six finish after placing sixth last season out of 49 teams.

The final night of competition began with the 1,650-yard freestyle where sophomore Hayley Hill — the lone Bronco competing — placed 18th clocking a time of 17:04.41.

Junior Robin Pinger recorded the top finish of the night for Boise State swimming a 56.97 in the A final of the 100-yard individual medley to place sixth overall. She turned in a 56.25 during the prelims Saturday morning which was good for second.

Molly Hogg swam a 2:00.48 in the 200 back morning prelims, then shaved more than a second off the prelim result in the B final to turn in a 1:59.11 which was good for second in the heat and 12th overall.

In the lone relay event of the day, Boise State's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Pinger, Emmie Jennings, Lauren Vitort and Hill placed 10th with a time of 3:25.04.

Saturday was also the day that the CSCAA added the diving scores which were recorded at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships that were being conducted this week at various sites nationally. The scores of divers from the teams competing at the CSCAA NIC were ranked by score received during finals at the zone meets with the top-20 receiving points, like the swimmers earned at the actual meet.

Boise State's Cassidy Bose and Marti Erlam competed at the diving zone E championships at Flagstaff, Ariz., Monday through Wednesday. The two combined for 80 points for Boise State at the CSCAA NIC.

Bose accounted for 36 points overall. The senior placed fourth on the platform dive with 217.25 in the CSCAA NIC rankings, as well as taking sixth on the 3-meter springboard with 259.35.

Erlam brought in 40 points for the Blue and Orange. The freshman placed first in the CSCAA rankings on the 3-meter springboard with 287.25 points and third on the 1-meter with 270.80.

The lone event left for Boise State swimming and diving this season will be next week when senior Abbey Sorensen heads to the NCAA National Swimming and Diving Championships at Austin, Texas, where she will compete in the 200-yard backstroke.
