BRONCOS TRAVEL TO CHALLENGE WASHINGTON STATE IN PULLMAN

The Boise State women's tennis team continues its road trip as they travel to Pullman to take on the Washington State Cougars this Saturday.

After suffering a 5-2 loss to Air Force last Sunday, the Broncos, now 6-5 on the year, will take the week to prepare for the big-time match-up against their third Pac-12 opponent of the season.

Boise State is 4-1 in their last five matches and will try and use this momentum to bring home one of the biggest wins in program history.

WHAT'S THE SCOOP

The Broncos are 1-1 in matches against Pac-12 opponents this season. On Feb. 10, Boise State lost a tight 5-2 match to Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, but on Feb. 22 the team defeated Colorado 4-3 for its first win over a Pac-12 program since 2014.

LAST TIME OUT

The Broncos fell 5-2 at the hands of Air Force who, at 18-1, has been the top team in the Mountain West this season. Despite the loss, Lilian Poling was able to extend her singles winning streak to six matches and her doubles win streak with partner Wilhelmina Palmer to eight.

PLAYER TO WATCH

In order to help the upset effort, the Broncos are going to need a big match from junior Wiktoria Nosek. Nosek has been a team leader this season and uses her intensity on the court to help the Broncos capture momentum in tight matches. If Nosek can bring the same passion she has shown throughout the season, Boise State may just be able to earn a Cinderella win in March.

HEAD COACH BECK ROGHAAR

With a career record of 105-85 and six winning seasons, Roghaar has made his mark on Boise State in his ninth season with the program. He became the second coach in program history to reach 100 wins on January 19, 2019 after a 6-1 win against Idaho State. Last season he coached the team to a 14-8 record and the Mountain West Mountain Division regular-season title after going 5-0 against divisional opponents. The 2011 WAC Coach of the Year continues to build a rising Boise State program that has been built on the values of toughness and passion.
