Junior comes within 13 inches of her personal best, claims title with best toss of 184-8
NAMPA, Idaho – Kendra Noneman won the women's weight throw to lead Boise State's throwers on the first day of the NNU Open, Friday.
Noneman won in her outdoor debut with a best throw of 184-8 (56.29m). The mark was just off the junior's personal best of 185-9, set last year at the Mountain West Championships.
In the javelin, the Broncos were represented by Liz Gaffney (123-9 / 37.71m) on the women's side, and Cole Collins (149-7 / 45.59m) in the men's competition.
Boise State will have another group of athletes competing at tomorrow's final day of the meet.
