BOISE, Idaho –
Kendra Noneman impressed the home crowd Friday afternoon at the Border Clash, throwing for a career-best 197-4 (60.14m) to win the hammer throw and secure the fourth-best mark in school history. Noneman's throw puts her No. 24 in the west region – further solidifying her eventual spot at NCAA West Preliminaries.

Taj Dorsett also fared well and captured the long jump title with a jump of 18-7.75 (5.68m), giving her a new PR in the event.

Drew Lindsley was the lone Bronco competitor for the men, as he took third in the discus with a 153-9 (46.86m). Liz Gaffney (104-00 / 31.69m) competed in the discus on the women's side and took 13th place.

The majority of the events will take place tomorrow, starting with the women's 3,000m, women's javelin, women's shot put and men's high jump all beginning at 10 a.m.
