BOISE, Idaho - Boise State women's golf will head to Ptarmigan Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo., Monday-Tuesday, where the Broncos will defend their 2018 event title.

Both days of the event will feature a 9 a.m. MT shotgun start, with 36 holes played Monday and the final round Tuesday at the Par-72, 6,466-yard Ptarmigan Country Club. The 13-team field will also include two Mountain West teams in host Colorado State and Wyoming, along with Ball State, Cal Baptist, Montana State, New Mexico State, North Dakota, Northern Colorado, Sam Houston State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and Southern Utah.

For the second-straight tournament to open the season, the Broncos will send the quintet of senior Valentine Lacaze, juniors Lexi Perry and Nicole Suppelsa, sophomore Cora Mickelsen, and freshman Taylor Koch as its team. The group played to a team finish of 11th at the season-opening Hobble Creek Classic Sept. 9-10, with Koch (T-27) and Perry (T-38) posting top-40 finishes. Mickelsen helped the Broncos climb the team leaderboard by shooting a 3-over 145 over the final two rounds.

Last year at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, Boise State captured its first team title since 2014, going wire-to-wire and finishing at +15, two strokes ahead of runner-up Nevada. Then-senior and current assistant coach Tara Finigan took home medalist honors, firing a six-under for the tournament to edge UC Irvine's Janet Yeo by a stroke. Suppelsa finished tied for 21st at the event at 7-over, while Perry came in at 11-over to finish tied for 33rd.

This week's event will begin a back-to-back stretch for the Broncos, who will head to Aurora, Ore., for the Rose City Collegiate next Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
