USAFA, Colo. – Boise State men's golf shot a 3-under, 285 in the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, Saturday.
The Broncos entered the day in 10th place. A strong back nine moved Boise State into a tie for sixth heading into Sunday's final round. The Broncos are tied with Texas State and Utah State, three shots behind UC Davis. Host Air Force leads the tournament at 12-under.
"The guys did a respectable job of battling back on our second nine today," Boise State head coach Dan Potter said. "It was nice to see them grab some momentum and finish the round well. We still have to be a lot cleaner from start to finish tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do in the final round.
Playing the back nine of the Eisenhower Blue Course first, the Broncos struggled going out as they shot 4-over as a team, before rallying for a 7-under on holes 1-9.
