Bronco Divers to Compete at Bruin Diving Invitational

Boise State's three divers will be on the UCLA campus this weekend as they compete against 17 other schools over three days and three events.

WHAT IS HAPPENING
- The Boise State diving team is off to the Bruin Diving Invitational at UCLA this Friday through Sunday at the Spieker Aquatics Center.
- This event will feature all three dives starting with the 1-meter springboard on Friday, 3-meter on Saturday and concluding with the platform on Sunday.
- Live Scoring for this meet will be available on DiveMeets.
- This is a diving only competition.Â
- The Bruin Diving Invitational will feature over 80 divers from 18 different schools, including: UCLA, Boise State, Cal, Cal Baptist, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Pacific, Stanford, UC San Diego, UNLV, Utah, USC, Wyoming.Â
- Boise State is sending all three of its divers to this competition in juniors Taylor Clark and Tatum Thompkins, as well as sophomore Marti Erlam.
- This is the first competition for the Blue and Orange divers since the Mizzou Invite Nov. 20-22.
- Entering the competition Erlam and Thompkins have qualified for March's NCAA Zone E Championships, Clark is looking to join them.
UP NEXT
- The Boise State swimming and diving team will be back in action next week, Jan. 24-25, when they travel to Northern Arizona for a pair of duals against the Lumberjacks in Flagstaff.Â
BRANDON BLAISDELL
- Brandon Blaisdell is in his fifth year as the diving coach at Boise State.
- At Boise State he has been apart of two Mountain West Championship coaching staffs and has coached the Broncos only diver in program history to qualify for the NCAA National Championships, Cassidy Bose on the platform in 2017.
- Five of his divers have combined for nine All-MW honors in four years, including then-senior Cassidy Bose and Erlam last February.
