ABOUT THE BULLDOGS: Fresno State is 6-13, with a 2-6 record in Mountain West play. The Bulldogs rank second in the Mountain West and top-50 nationally with 9.0 three-pointers per game, led by New Williams who has made 27 triples in eight conference games. Williams is Fresno State's leading scorer in league play at 15.3 points per game. Freshman forward Orlando Robinson is averaging 13.2 points and 6.9 rebounds for the season, the top Bulldog in each category.
SERIES HISTORY: Boise State leads the all-time series 22-21. The Bulldogs have won four of the last five meetings overall and four of the last five games played in Fresno. Saturday will be the only regular-season meeting between the teams this season.
MAGIC AT EXTRAMILE: Boise State rallied for a thrilling overtime victory against Utah State last time out. The Aggies took an 18-point lead (66-48) with 4:10 remaining in regulation and had possession. The Broncos got a stop and RJ Williams sank a pair of free throws with 3:37 to play. Those free throws started a 27-9 run, including 19 points from freshman RayJ Dennis to close the period and tie the game. Utah State led 75-70 with 8.9 seconds left before Dennis stormed up the floor and made his fourth three-pointer of the spurt. Justinian Jessup stole the ensuing inbound pass and made a layup to tie the game with 1.9 seconds left and force overtime. The Broncos never led in regulation, but never trailed in the extra period, winning 88-83.
MIDPOINT: Saturday marks the midpoint for Boise State's Mountain West schedule. The Broncos are 4-4 through the first eight games, with four home wins and four road losses. They beaten Colorado State, Wyoming, UNLV and Utah State, and fallen on the road to New Mexico, Nevada, San Diego State and Air Force.
