Boise State pushes their win streak to four after taking down the Blues 7-0.

EAGLE, Idaho - Boise State's men's tennis team flew by Whitman 7-0 Sunday evening at the Eagle Tennis Club. Mark Papadopoulos and Wyatt DeMulling led the Broncos with early singles victories after the Broncos claimed the doubles. Boise State carried the momentum from a 3-0 lead onto victory against a solid Blues squad.
The victory gave Boise State a sweep of the weekend's matches giving them a four-game win streak as they moved to 4-1 on the season.

"It was a fantastic weekend. It's not easy to play four matches in two days both physically and mentally," said head coach Kristian Widen. "I know we're just fine, but mentally it's a challenge for any player, but this team is tough and handled it well. They embraced the challenge and I'm just super proud of what we've accomplished this weekend not losing a point in any of the matches."

In doubles the Broncos handed Whitman three losses but it was not easy. Boise State's top doubles pair of Blake Bayldon and Simon Arca Costas took their match 6-4 over Whitman's Ben Kirsh and Dan Foster. The 50th-ranked tandem comes out of the weekend with a 10-1 overall record.

The duo of Kemal Karagozoglu and Ryland McDermott held off Whitman's John Carter and Kai Strawn 7-5 on court three. Their win clinched the team doubles point for the Blue and Orange.

The Broncos' new tandem of Papadopoulos and Michael Bott have hit stride winning their fourth-straight match against Whitman's Raj Chikkalingaiah and Andreas Mueller-Immergluck by a 6-3 score. The win puts the duo at 4-1 on the season.

Boise State swept Whitman in singles as well beginning with Papadopoulos who won his match with ease on court five. The redshirt-sophomore was the first off the court defeating Matthew Biggi 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 5 position to move to 4-1 in singles.

Not far behind Papadopoulos was DeMulling on court four where he took down Whitman's Chikkalingaiah in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. The victory made the team score 3-0 and improved the senior's overall record to 12-4 on the season.

The Broncos No. 1 singles player Kyryll Kryvchun clinched the team win with his 6-2, 6-1 victory over Ben Kirsh. Kryvchun is now a team-best 18-5 on the year.

Arca Costas and Bayldon recorded victories in their respected matches. Arca Costas took out Dan Foster 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while Bayldon won 6-2, 6-4 on court four against the Bengals' Mueller-Immergluck. Arca Costas moved to 11-6 overall and Bayldon went to 12-6 on the year.

Ending the night was an exciting match on court six where Boise State newcomer Michael Bott came back from 4-0 down in a 10-point third set tiebreaker to defeat Jacob Strabo. Bott won the match 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) to give the Broncos a sweep on the evening.

Up next for the Broncos will be a trip to Spokane, Wash., this coming weekend where they will face both Montana and Gonzaga.
