ABOUT THE WOLF PACK:Â Nevada is 13-9, with a 6-4 record in Mountain West play. The Wolf Pack and Broncos are both part of a four-way tie for third place in the conference standings. Jalen Harris leads Nevada in scoring at 19.5 points per game. Harris has upped his game in Mountain West play, averaging 23.4 points per game and eclipsing 20 points seven times in 10 league games.
SERIES HISTORY:Â Nevada leads the all-time series 48-27. The Wolf Pack has won the last eight meetings, including an 83-66 win earlier this year in Reno (Jan. 4). Since Nevada joined the Mountain West prior to the 2012-13 season, the Broncos and Wolf Pack have met 16 times, with half of the games decided by single digits.
HISTORICALLY BIG WINS: Boise State has posted consecutive conference victories by at least 25 points for the first time since 1988. The Broncos claimed an 87-53 win at Fresno State Saturday, for its largest margin of victory in a road conference game since 2004. They followed that with a 99-71 victory Wednesday, over San José State in Boise.
ROUND TWO: Boise State begins its second tour through the Mountain West when the Broncos take on Nevada Saturday. The Wolf Pack won the first meeting in Reno (Jan. 4). The Broncos faced all 10 Mountain West opponents in their first 10 conference games, going 6-4 - including a 5-0 mark at home. Boise State will play each of its final eight league games against repeat opponents. The Broncos will not face Colorado State or Fresno State a second time.Â
CHASING JIMMER:Â Justinian Jessup is Boise State's all-time three-point leader, entering the game with 294 career triples. Jessup trails the conference's current record holder, BYU's Jimmer Fredette (296; 2007-11), by just two triples. With six more, Jessup will become the first player in Mountain West history to reach 300.Â
VERSATILE: Derrick Alston is one of 10 players in the country, and the only Mountain West player, to rank in the top 100 nationally in field goals made, three-pointers made and free throws made. He is one of four in the country to make at least 130 field goals, 50 three-pointers and 100 free throws this season.
