BOISE, Idaho - Boise State begins a road week Wednesday at Air Force, tipping off against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. The Broncos will then finish the week Saturday at San Diego State.

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State was stunned Saturday afternoon in a 58-56 loss to Utah State. The Aggies erased an 11-point Bronco lead with just over three minutes to play, and got the win on Marlene Aniambossou's buzzer-beating jumper.

The Broncos had rebounded from a cold first half in which they shot just 22.2 percent, outscoring the Aggies, 21-8, in the third quarter. The lead got up to 11 at 54-43 with 3:13 to play before the Aggies went on a 15-2 run to end the game.

Riley Lupfer led the Broncos with 20 points in the contest, hitting five 3-pointers. Mallory McGwire posted her seventh double-double of the season, finishing with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

WHO'S NEXT
The Broncos begin a full week on the road, their second in three weeks, Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. tip at Air Force.

Air Force snapped a seven-game losing streak Saturday, picking up a 51-49 road win at San Diego State.

Kaelin Immel leads the Falcons with 15.1 points per game and 32 3-pointers, while Emily Conroe has a team-high 7.2 rebounds a game to go with 9.1 points per contest.

SERIES HISTORY
Boise State leads the all-time series against Air Force, 18-1.

The Broncos have won 13 in a row against the Falcons, and will go for the regular-season series sweep Wednesday, after having picked up a 70-61 win over the Falcons back on Jan. 15 at ExtraMile Arena.

SECOND GO-AROUND
Well into the second half of the Mountain West season, Boise State's tour of rematches continues Wednesday against Air Force, with the Broncos going for the season sweep.

With games remaining against UNLV and San Jose State, teams that took the first meeting with the Broncos this season, Boise State will attempt to avoid being swept by a conference opponent since dropping both meetings with Colorado State in 2015-16.

IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Boise State has found itself, as well as a handful of players, ranked fairly high in early national stat rankings through Feb. 9.

As a team, the Broncos rank 15th in assists (406). The Broncos' 44.4 field-goal percentage ranks 34th, and the team's 172 3-pointers are 53rd in the country.

Individually, redshirt senior point guard Jayde Christopher is second in the nation with 188 assists, and with 7.52 assists per game. Senior guard Riley Lupfer is sixth in the country with 74 3-pointers made, and 15th with 2.96 triples made per game.

FIGHTING FOR THE BYE
With five regular-season games remaining, Boise State is closing in on one of the five coveted first-round byes at March 1-4's Mountain West Tournament.

Currently alone in fourth place at 8-5, the Broncos are two games clear of sixth-place San Diego State (6-7), and can clinch a bye with wins Wednesday at Air Force, and Saturday against the Aztecs in San Diego.

LUPFER HEATING UP
Despite Saturday's loss, the Broncos could be encouraged by the performance of senior guard Riley Lupfer, who scored 20 points and hit five 3-pointers.

It was Lupfer's third 20-point game of the season, and her first since scoring 23 against Utah Valley back on Nov. 26.

Over the last two games, Lupfer has averaged 19.0 points and made eight 3-pointers, and shot 52.0 percent from the field overall (13-for-25).

ANOTHER DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Center Mallory McGwire posted her seventh double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds against Utah State Saturday.

It also marked McGwire's fifth double-double in Mountain West action, and for the season it was her eighth double digit-rebounding performance. In Mountain West play, McGwire is nearly averaging a double-double, currently at 11.6 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

SWEET HOME...COLORADO?
With Wednesday's trip to Air Force, the Broncos will make their second trip to the state of Colorado this conference season. Colorado has, of late, been a friendly place for the Broncos, as Boise State has won its last six games in the state.

The current run began with a 51-45 win at Colorado State on Dec. 31, 2016, and consists of three wins apiece at Colorado State and at Air Force.

RUN THE STREAK AGAINST AIR FORCE
Boise State brings a 13-game winning against Air Force into Wednesday's meeting, having not lost to the Falcons since a 77-72 decision Feb. 20. 2013, at the academy.

Of the 13 games in the current run, only two have been decided by single digits: this season's earlier meeting on jan. 15 in Boise (70-61, Broncos), and a 49-46 Bronco home win on Jan. 27, 2018.

In five games at Clune Arena over this stretch, the Broncos have defeated the Falcons by an average margin of 14.8 points.
