BOISE, Idaho - After it's originally-scheduled start to the spring season was canceled due to inclement weather a week ago, Boise State women's golf will tee it up again this weekend at the Rio Verde Invitational at Rio Verde Country Club.

Boise State will send the lineup of Nicole Suppelsa, Lexi Perry, Ivane Helias, Valentine Lacaze, and Taylor Koch to Arizona. The same quintet made up the lineup for last week's canceled Battle At The Rock in Riverside, Calif.

At last year's Rio Verde Invitational, Lacaze and Perry, along with current assistant coach Tara Finigan, all tied for 17th on the individual leaderboard, finishing at 8-over on the Quail Run Course. As a team, the Broncos finished third (298-300=598), just seven strokes back of Xavier (299-292=591).

This weekend's tournament will be played on Rio Verde's White Wing Course for the first time since 2017. The course will play at a Par 72 with a total distance of 6,215 yards. The Broncos will be among an 18-team field which includes host Western Michigan, Akron, Arkansas State, Ball State, Bowling Green, Boise State, Bradley, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Little Rock, Missouri State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Seton Hall, UMKC, Wichita State, and Xavier. One round will be played each day of the event.

Boise State is coming off of a fall season in which it played five tournaments, topping out with a pair of seventh place finishes at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic (Sept. 23-24) and Rose City Collegiate (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), respectively. Individually, Perry highlighted the fall campaign by claiming medalist honors at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, finishing at 1-over and capping her win with a birdie putt on the final hole of the final round.
