BOISE, Idaho - Boise State goes for a 2-0 homestand and a 2-0 regular-season sweep of Utah State Saturday as the Aggies come to town for a 2 p.m. tip.

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State picked up its second win in a row, and got the homestand off to a victorious start by beating Wyoming, 67-48, Wednesday night.

The Bronco defense came out on fire and stayed that way throughout, matching its season high with 15 steals and holding the Cowgirls to just 48 points. The Broncos led from the start, their first wire-to-wire win this season.

Jayde Christopher made a career-high six steals to go with six points and seven assists, while Mallory McGwire also set a personal best with three thefts. On the offensive end, Riley Lupfer went 7-for-9 from the field with three 3-pointers for 18 points. Jade Loville also scored in double figures, finishing with 10 points.

WHO'S NEXT
The Broncos will go for the season sweep of Utah State when the Aggies come to town for a 2 p.m. tip Saturday at ExtraMile Arena.

Boise State defeated the Aggies, 65-59, on Jan. 18 in Logan.

Utah State is led by the play of Hailey Bassett (13.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg) and Lindsey Jensen-Baker (12.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg).

SERIES HISTORY
Boise State leads the all-time series against Utah State, 26-10.

The Broncos have won 10 of the last 12 meetings with the Aggies.

SECOND GO-AROUND
Well into the second half of the Mountain West season, Boise State's tour of rematches continues Saturday against Utah State, with the Broncos going for the season sweep.

With games remaining against UNLV and San Jose State, teams that took the first meeting with the Broncos this season, Boise State will attempt to avoid being swept by a conference opponent since dropping both meetings with Colorado State in 2015-16.

IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Boise State has found itself, as well as a handful of players, ranked fairly high in early national stat rankings through Feb. 5.

As a team, the Broncos rank 12th in assists (396). The Broncos' 44.9 field-goal percentage ranks 28th, and the team's 166 3-pointers are 46th in the country.

Individually, redshirt senior point guard Jayde Christopher is second in the nation with 184 assists, and with 7.67 assists per game. Senior guard Riley Lupfer is seventh in the country with 69 3-pointers made, and 24th with 2.88 triples made per game.

WHEN THE CALENDAR HITS FEBRUARY...
...the Broncos become nigh-unbeatable.

After Wednesday's win over Wyoming, Boise State is now 20-4 in February since the 2016-17 campaign. And, considering the Broncos lost their first two February games in that 2016-17 season, Boise State has now won 20 of their last 22 February games.

BRINGING THE DEFENSIVE HEAT
Boise State, which had been up-and-down this season with its defensive performances, brought it Wednesday night against Wyoming.

The Broncos matched a season high with 15 steals, including 10 in the first half, and held the Cowgirls to just 48 points and 17 field goals.

It marked just the third time this season that the Broncos held an opponent under the 50-point amrk, and the second time in Mountain West play after Nevada was held to 40 on Jan. 4.

Boise State also forced 24 Wyoming turnovers, a season high against a Division I opponent. The Broncos' season high is 29 forced turnovers, set in the season opener on Nov. 5 against Lewis-Clark State College.

TAKING THOSE COOKIES
Redshirt senior point guard Jayde Christopher is usually lauded for her passing and setting the table for her teammates on offense, but Wednesday against Wyoming she flexed her defensive muscles.

Christopher was active from the start, picking up a steal on the first Wyoming possession, and finishing the game with a career-high six. The Federal Way, Wash., native punctuated her defensive performance with 1:57 to play, stealing an errant pass and taking it all the way for a layup at the other end.

LUPFER CATCHES FIRE
Another positive development for the Broncos Wednesday night was Riley Lupfer's fiery performance from the field.

The senior guard went 7-for-9 from the field and 3-for-5 from 3-point range, scoring a game-high 18 points. It was the first game in which Lupfer hit at least half of her field-goal attempts since going 5-for-9 against BYU back on Dec. 11.

LOVILLE MAKING NOISE
Sophomore guard Jade Loville has continued to get better and better as the Mountain West season progresses, posting her fourth double digit-scoring game this conference season with 10 points Wednesday against Wyoming.

Loville, who got to the line multiple times Wednesday, going 4-for-5 from the stripe, is averaging 6.8 points a game in Mountain West play, highlighted by a 21-point effort Jan. 11 against San Diego State. Her scoring average is the best among the Bronco second unit.

KEEP IT GOING
Boise State has played some of its best basketball of the season over its past six quarters, beginning with last Saturday's third quarter at Nevada.

Over the last six quarters, the Broncos have averaged 19.5 points a quarter, and shot 52.2 percent from the field (48-for-92).
