Kigab Leads Decisive Second Half

BOISE, Idaho - Abu Kigab turned in a complete performance with 25 points, 11 rebounds and five assists to lead Boise State past Air Force, 80-69, Friday at ExtraMile Arena. The Broncos overcame a seven-point halftime deficit and ran their winning streak to a school-record-tying 10 games.
Boise State (10-1, 6-0 MW) outscored the Falcons (3-7, 1-5 MW) 20-6 in the first 8:16 of the second half to take a lead it would not surrender. Kigab scored 12 points during the run.
Air Force cut the margin to one at 63-62 with 6:24 left. The Broncos responded with a 9-0 run to push the lead to double figures. The run was capped with a Derrick Alston, Jr. three-pointer after offensive rebounds by Mladen Armus and Kigab kept the possession alive.
The Broncos had 12 offensive rebounds and 20 second-chance points. Armus finished with eight rebounds, including five offensive boards, and nine points.
Alston scored 19 points, while Marcus Shaver, Jr. chipped in 14. Alston and Shaver each scored 11 points in the second half, helping the Broncos outscore the Falcons 47-29 in the period.
Boise State travels to Wyoming for games against the Cowboys Monday and Wednesday. Both games tip at 7 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network.
