TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Three Boise State men's cross country team student-athletes competed as individuals at the 2021 Division I NCAA Cross Country Championships, Saturday morning.
"I am really proud of all three of these guys," said Boise State Head Coach Corey Ihmels. "They battled all race just like they have all season. The future is bright for these three and our entire men's program."
Senior Dario De Caro led the Broncos for the fourth-straight race this season. He advanced 37 places in the race's final kilometer, notching a 128th-place finish with a time of 30:25.1.
Freshman Ahmed Ibrahim crossed the finish line 10 seconds behind his teammate (30:35.5), taking 150th, and senior Logan Rees placed 230th with a time of 31:52.8.
This was De Caro and Ibrahim's first trip to a cross country national championship and Rees' second (2019).
This concludes Boise State's 2021 cross country season. Next, the Broncos turn their focus to indoor track and field.
