ABOUT OLE MISS: The Rebels are 3-1 this season, averaging 80.3 points per game on 50 percent field goal shooting and 38.1 percent from three-point range. Jarkel Joiner is the leading scorer at 16.3 points per game. Head coach Kermit Davis is in his 27th year as a collegiate head coach, which includes two different tenures at Idaho while the Broncos and Vandals were conference foes. Ole Miss opened the Charleston Classic with a 78-72 loss against Marquette, before rebounding to beat Elon, 74-56 to set up the meeting with Boise State. The Rebels and Broncos both advanced to the NIT last season.

SERIES HISTORY: Boise State and Ole Miss have never met in men's basketball. The Broncos are 2-5 all-time against Southeastern Conference opponents. Five of the previous seven meetings - including both victories - have come during Leon Rice's tenure as head coach. Boise State's last meeting with the SEC came against Mississippi State at the 2016 Charleston Classic.

HELPERS: Boise State dished out 25 assists in its 82-62 victory Friday, against Temple. Emmanuel Akot and Abu Kigab tied for the team lead with season highs of six assists apiece. For Kigab, his six helpers are a career high.

AT ESPN EVENTS: The 2021 Shriners Children's Charleston Classic is Boise State's sixth appearance in an ESPN-owned multi-team event - all coming during Leon Rice's tenure as head coach. The Broncos have won at least one game at all six events and have won two games at three of the previous five tournaments, including the last two (2019 Diamond Head Classic; 2017 Puerto Rico Tip-Off at Myrtle Beach).

AKOT ON A TEAR: Emmanuel Akot is making a case for a spot on the all-tournament team. Akot is averaging 20 points per game through two games at the Charleston Classic, shooting 10-for-15 from three-point range. He is also averaging 3.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in the tournament's two games.
