Hannah Bailey pitches a complete game for her first victory of the season.

ATLANTA, Ga. - Boise State softball shutout Radford 4-0 Sunday morning in Atlanta behind the solid pitching of Hannah Bailey who went the entire seven innings. Bailey allowed four hits, no runs, struck out nine and issued one walk in the win as Boise State improved to 2-3 on the year.

"I'm really proud of Hannah Bailey setting the tone for us in the circle," said head coach Maggie Huffaker. "I also thought  India Kelly came through for us again today, getting on base and then delivering a big RBI double."

Boise State struck first in the bottom of the first inning. After three walks to load the bases, Jordyn Hutchins sent a sacrifice fly to left field to bring home Ashlyn Adams for the first run of the game.

The Broncos extended their lead in the bottom of the third. India Kelly opened the inning with a walk. She then came home on a single to shortstop by Alison Seng to make it 2-0 Boise State.

Two more runners came across home plate in the fourth as Boise State extended its lead to 4-0. Kelly hit a double to center that brought home both Kelsey Lalor and Abby Bumcrot for the Blue and Orange.

Neither team scored the rest of the way as the Broncos claimed their second-straight victory in Atlanta. Boise State finished with four hits and no errors, while the Highlanders matched the Broncos' hit total but made two errors in the contest.

Lalor led the team with two hits (2-of-3), scored one run and had a stolen base. Meanwhile, Kelly, Bella Rocco and Seng all recorded a hit, Kelly led in RBIs with two. Other scorers were Kelly, Adams and Bumcrot.

The Broncos wrapped up the opening weekend of play at 2-3. Adams and Lalor led the team with six hits while each batted .375 (6-for-16). Adams scored two runs with one RBI. Lalor had two homers, scored three times and tallied three RBI. Rocco finished the five-game trip with four hits and three RBI. Kelly tallied three hits, scored four runs and had two RBI, while Jordyn Hutchins had two hits, scored once on a homer run and had three RBI.

As a team, Boise State hit .244 on the weekend with 17 runs, 31 hits, six doubles, four home runs, an ERA of 5.40 and one error. The opposition combined for a hitting percentage of .252 with 19 runs, 31 hits, six doubles, three homers, an ERA of 2.73 and six errors.

Boise State will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Lake Charles, La., for the McNeese State Cowgirl Classic Feb. 19-21. The Broncos will face Louisiana Tech twice, Memphis, North Dakota State and McNeese State.
