Boise State men's basketball looks to earn a split of its road series against No. 22 San Diego State in the series finale Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. PT/2 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network. The Aztecs took the first game, 78-66 in overtime.

GAME ONE RECAP: Boise State overcame a 17-point deficit to force overtime, but ran out of steam in the extra period at No. 22 San Diego State, suffering a 78-66 loss. RayJ Dennis hit a three-pointer with 9.3 seconds left to send the game to overtime, where the Aztecs outscored the Broncos 15-3. Derrick Alston, Jr. led all scorers with a season-high 29 points. Alston scored Boise State's first 11 points of the second half, in less than four minutes, to kickstart the Broncos, who scored 46 points in the period after being held to a season-low 17 in the first half. Boise State trailed by 15 with 10 minutes to play. The Broncos went on a 14-0 run in two minutes and 18 seconds to climb within one point. They tied the game twice, once at 58 with 1:42 left and again at 63 with 9.3 seconds left in regulation. Boise State did not lead in the game.
OVERTIME A FIRST: Nine of the 23 meetings between Boise State and San Diego State have been decided by five points or less, including four of Boise State's seven losses at Viejas Arena. Thursday marked the first game in series history that was decided in overtime.
LOTS OF LEAGUE WINS: Boise State is 14-4 in Mountain West play this season, matching the school record for league victories in any conference. The Broncos also won 14 Mountain West games during the 2014-15 season, going 14-4 on their way to a regular-season title.
400 POINTS AGAIN: With his 29 points Thursday, Derrick Alston, Jr. eclipsed 400 for the third straight season. Alston is one of eight Broncos in program history to record three 400-point campaigns, joining Tanoka Beard, Chris Childs, Steve Connor, Anthony Drmic, Abe Jackson, Coby Karl and Derrick Marks.
