BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State men's tennis team continues to roll through the season as the Broncos defeated Weber State 7-0 Saturday afternoon to extend their win streak to nine. The Broncos won the doubles point 3-0, then followed with five straight singles victories. The Broncos earned a doubles and a singles win by forfeit as the Wildcats were short a player and unable to complete their lineup.

The victory on Saturday improved Boise State's record to 11-1 overall with a match versus Montana State on the slate for Sunday afternoon.

"Solid, solid win today against a very talented team, the guys came out ready to play," said head coach Kristian Widen. "You can tell that we've won nine matches in a row now by the confidence they all have. We're going to have to go back to the drawing board when it comes to doubles and make some adjustments, but overall a very solid match. I think everyone was just ready to play and that's the great part right now for me, whoever I call upon, whoever I put in the lineup, they all show up and they're ready to play."

Boise State claimed the team doubles point 2-1 with a 6-4 victory on court one and the forfeit. Blake Bayldon and Simon Arca Costas improved to 6-1 on the year with a 6-4 victory over Weber State's Michiel Van Schoor and Bo-Han Li at No. 1 doubles.

The Broncos took total control during singles winning all five matches played in straight sets. Kyryll Kryvchun started it off with a quick 6-1, 6-1 win on court two to make the score 3-0 Broncos.

The reigning back-to-back Mountain West Player of the Week Simon Arca Costas clinched the team victory with his 6-2, 6-2 win over Van Schoor at No. 3 singles. He has now won 10 consecutive singles matches stretching back to the final three contests of 2020.

Luka Soskic finished just minutes after Arca Costas winning at No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-2. Wyatt DeMulling was next to finish for the Broncos taking his match 6-1, 6-4. The final Boise State win came on court one where Bayldon defeated his opponent 6-3, 7-5 to wrap things up at the Appleton Tennis Center.
