Broncos Best Wolf Pack, Win Fourth Straight
BOISE, Idaho -
Boise State women's soccer won its fourth-consecutive game with a 1-0 victory over the Nevada Wolf Pack, Saturday at Boas Soccer Complex.

Despite a close final score, the Broncos (4-1-1, 4-1-1 MW) remained in control throughout the match and dominated the shot count 13-1.

The lone goal in the match came in the 24th minute during a set-piece by sophomore transfer Anna Campanella. The corner kick was fed into the box by freshman Morgan Miles, after a series of headers Campanella knocked it through the upper left corner of the net. The goal is Campanella's first of her collegiate career.

"I think the big thing for us is to keep her [Anna Campanella] in the center and allow that energy, workhorse mentality to grind us through," said head coach Jim Thomas. "We'll keep trying to refine her a little bit more so she has cleaner looks. She's a tremendous attacking player, I just think she gets in that defensive mode, really hard. So to see her get rewarded for some of that grafting I think is super cool."

Freshman goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw made her third-straight start in net for the Broncos and earned her second clean-sheet victory of the season. She required only one save to secure the win as the Bronco defense kept the Wolf Pack (0-4-2, 0-4-2 MW) at bay throughout.

"We've got to take it one game at a time, we can't look at two, three weeks ahead, we got to focus on the game in front of us," said junior Abby Bivens. "Of course missing Aubree [Chatterton] this is time for somebody to step up and take a more leadership role and kind of get our team through this. I think it'll be a big time for our whole team to come together."

Boise State lost an important piece early with senior Aubree Chatterton suffering an ankle injury in the 16th minute.

Boise State now prepares for its final road trip of the season with matches against San Jose State, Friday, April 2, and Fresno State, Sunday, April 4.
